This guide explains how to install Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard horizontally on walls and ceilings.

Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard should be installed in temperatures between 10–20°C (50–68°F). If you are installing outside this range, refer to the Cold Weather Installation Guide.
Regardless of temperature, place the panels in the installation area for at least 24 hours before installing them. This helps reduce expansion or contraction after installation. Loosen or remove any packaging that may restrict the panels while they acclimatize.
Check that all surfaces are straight. Install furring strips or strapping where needed.
When adding strapping, use 1″×4″ or 2″×4″ furring strips.
Ensure all vapor barriers are installed to code before installing Wall&CeilingBoard.
Install Wall&CeilingBoard perpendicular to ceiling joists or roof trusses.
If installing parallel to joists, the joists must be 16″ on-center.
If furring strips or strapping are required, install them perpendicular to the framing at 24″ on-center.
Install wood blocking around all openings to properly support trims.
Install adequate backing for lights or other suspended items—never mount anything directly to Trusscore.
Do not begin installation until the building is fully enclosed, HVAC is running, and any construction moisture has been removed.
If installing Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard horizontally on both walls and ceiling, start with the walls before installing the ceiling.
Install Base Trim or J Trim along the bottom of each wall.
Install all perimeter trims needed around openings such as doors and windows.
Cut the first panel to length. Starting at the bottom, position the panel with the screw flange pointing away from the floor. Before fastening, use a level to ensure the panel is aligned.
Leave a 1/8″ gap between the tongue side of the panel and the adjoining trim. Fasten on every stud — whether every 16″ or 24″ — using the recommended screws. Leave 1/4″ clearance at each panel end for expansion and contraction. Do not overtighten screws.
If the wall is longer than the panel lengths, join panels in the middle using an H Channel Snap-In Trim Kit.
After installing the first row, install the remaining wall panels. Insert the tongue of each new panel into the groove of the previous panel. Press firmly to ensure a proper connection, then fasten the new panel.
Periodically check alignment using a level to confirm the rows remain straight. If the panels are not level, adjust the position of the panel.
Trim the top panel as needed to fit. Maintain a 1/8″ gap between the cut edge and the ceiling. Install the top panel by inserting it into the groove of the previous panel.
After installing panels up to the ceiling, install J Trim or Inside Cove Corner Trim in each corner. Place the trim against the panel with the channel facing away. Push it tight to the corner and fasten it to the wall.
Move to the opposite wall and install trim and panels in the same way as the first wall.
Install panels on the remaining walls by inserting each panel end into the vertical trim pieces, sliding the panel down into the bottom trim, and then interlocking the tongue and groove for each subsequent panel.
Install J Trim around the entire ceiling perimeter. Place the trim against the wall panels with the channel facing away. Push it tight to the corner and fasten it to the ceiling.
Install Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard panels perpendicular to the ceiling joists. If the joists are not visible, locate their direction with a stud finder.
Cut the first panel to length. Position it with the screw flange pointing away from the wall. Ensure the panel is parallel to the outside wall by measuring both ends; equal measurements confirm alignment.
Leave a 1/8″ gap between the tongue side and the adjoining trim. Fasten at least once every 24″ using recommended screws. Leave 1/4″ clearance at both ends. Do not overtighten screws.
If the ceiling is longer than the panel lengths, join panels in the middle using an H Channel Snap-In Trim Kit.
With the first row installed, continue installing ceiling panels. Insert the tongue of each new panel into the groove of the previous one. Press firmly to ensure a proper connection, then fasten the new panel.
Periodically measure from the wall to the panel edge at both ends to confirm alignment. If the measurements match, the installation is straight; if not, adjust the panel.
Trim the final panel if needed. Maintain a 1/8″ gap between the cut edge and the adjoining trim.
Install the last ceiling panel by inserting it into the groove of the previous panel and into the adjoining trims on each side.
