Long, continuous runs of Trusscore panels—typically 60 panels or more—can expand and contract with temperature changes, causing panels to bow or distort. This is most common in large spaces like agricultural barns.
Standard H Channel Snap-in Trim works at panel ends, but for long runs, you also need expansion joints along the sides of panels. Install an H Channel Snap-in Trim every 60 panels to accommodate movement.
Install panels as usual following our standard installation guidelines.
When reaching the 60th panel:
Cut off the screw flange with tin snips.
Align a U Channel from an H Channel Snap-in Trim along the panel length.
Leave a ¼” gap between the panel edge and the U Channel.
Fasten the U Channel to the wall or ceiling.
Install the next set of panels on the other side of the U Channel, maintaining the ¼” gap.
Repeat steps 2–3 for every 60 panels in the run.
After installing all panels:
Snap the H Channel onto the U Channel using a rubber mallet or by hand.
If two H Channels are needed for long lengths, optionally seal the seam with silicone for a uniform look.
For any ripped panels, install an H Channel Snap-in Trim on either side to provide support.
