Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard and SlatWall panels are meant to be installed after the panels have acclimatized for 24 hours at 10–20°C (50–68°F). If you must install Trusscore below 10°C (50°F), follow these steps to prevent warping, cracking, or permanent damage.
Keep the panels in the installation environment for at least 24 hours so they reach the same temperature as the room.
Seam Spacing: When installing below 10°C (50°F), insert a scrap piece of Wall&CeilingBoard (0.90 mm / 0.035") between panel seams before fastening. This creates extra space for expansion when temperatures rise.
Panel End Spacing: Increase end spacing from ¼" to ⅜". If you’re joining end-to-end, use H Channel Snap-In Trim to cover the wider gap.
Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard panels may become more brittle in temperatures below 15°C (59°F). Direct impact in reduced temperatures can lead to product damage.
Cut the panels using the method outlined in the installation guide. Below 5°C (41°F), cut slowly because the edges chip more easily. Always perform a test cut.
For trims, reduce cutting speed even further. Cold trims crack more easily at the flanges. When possible, use tin snips instead of power tools.
Keep all radiant heat sources that exceed 50°C or 122°F at least 24" away from Trusscore Wall&CeilingBoard. Follow the heater manufacturer’s guidelines for shielding and clearance.
Sun-exposed panels may expand differently than shaded panels. Use the spacing guidelines above to prevent uneven expansion.
